Who is His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi?

His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the founder of the Transcendental Meditation program, has opened the gateway of enlightenment to millions of people. He is the world’s foremost scientist of consciousness.

Maharishi, through the blessings of his master, His Divinity Brahmananda Saraswati, Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Jyoitr Math in the Himalayas, attained the supreme state of enlightenment — Brahmi Chetana — unity consciousness — even in his youth.

From the platform of his supremely enlightened awareness, he has been able to restore the scattered Vedic Literature for its total practical significance, and has organized it in the form of a complete science and technology of consciousness — a complete science of life capable of creating a global civilization enjoying heaven on earth.

Maharishi’s Vedic Science and Technology awakens the infinite organizing power of Natural Law available in the Atma or Self of everyone as the basis for bringing perfection to all areas of life.

The simple and natural technique of Transcendental Meditation is immediately effective, and is the most widely practiced and extensively researched program for development of higher states of consciousness in the world.

Maharishi is now establishing Maharishi University of World Peace in 3,000 Peace Palaces throughout the world to offer mastery over Natural Law to every individual and to perpetuate life in accordance with Natural Law — perfection in every profession — and create Natural Law-based problem-free government in every country — governments with the ability to prevent problems.

What do we mean by Vedic ?

Vedic relates to Veda, which means “knowledge.” Veda and Vedic Literature are the total knowledge of Natural Law — the intelligence of nature which administers the universe with perfect order.

In recent years, Maharishi has cleared away centuries of confusion about Veda and Vedic Literature, revealing that it is Nitya and Apaurusheya — eternal and unmanifest — and available as the reverberations within the Atma, or self-referral consciousness, of everyone.

Maharishi has now given everyone the chance to directly experience the infinite organizing power of total Natural Law within their Self, and engage it to work for them, to fulfill desires and create a better world.

What is Transcendental Meditation?

The Maharishi Transcendental Meditation technique is a simple, natural, effortless procedure that allows an individual to experience quieter levels of the thinking process and the source of thought — Transcendental Consciousness — the full creative potential of the mind. As the mind settles down during the Transcendental Meditation technique, the body also settles down and gains a unique state of deep rest, releasing accumulated stress and revitalizing the entire nervous system.

This natural technique develops the total potential of the brain. It promotes the growth of creativity, intelligence, and learning ability, while at the same time reducing stress, improving health, and fostering fulfilling relationships. It’s many benefits have been documented by 600 scientific research studies conducted at 200 universities and research institutes in 34 countries, and published in 100 leading scientific and scholarly journals. It has been applied with unprecedented benefits in education, business, health care, criminal rehabilitation, and substance abuse rehabilitation.

The Transcendental Meditation technique has been learned by more than 6 million people worldwide, including 1,500,000 people in the United States — people of all ages, religious denominations, races and nationalities.

What is the TM-Sidhi® program?

The Maharishi Transcendental Meditation-Sidhi program is an advanced program of Transcendental Meditation which accelerates your growth toward the state of enlightenment. It may be learned after two months of regular practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique.

The Transcendental Meditation technique opens the awareness to Transcendental Consciousness, the Unified Field of Natural Law, which is the basis of everyone’s awareness. The TM-Sidhi program cultures the ability to think and act from this level. By learning to function from this self-referral state of pure consciousness, which is the total potential of Natural Law, your mind gains increasing support of Nature for the fulfillment of desires.

With the TM-Sidhi program, your thought and action spontaneously become more in accord with the evolutionary power of Natural Law. This results in greater skill in action — the ability to fulfill your desires naturally while effortlessly promoting the evolution of everyone and everything.
